All About Radon Testing
These articles are primarily written for homeowners, but will also be helpful for real-estate, home inspection and radon professionals. This information is in large part from my 30 years experience as a home inspector and radon mitigation contractor having performed probably more than 10,000 radon tests, including, initial/first time, realestate, post mitigation, follow up, and diagnostic radon tests, using a variety of radon testing homeowner kits, professional electronic continuous radon monitors and in recent years digital radon monitors marketed for homeowner use.

Why
Why test for radon? Radon in the air is breathed into our lungs and when present in high levels is considered a contributing if not primary cause of lung cancer. Testing is the only way to know if you have high levels of radon in your home. If you do have a high level of radon in your home it is recommended to mitigate or lower the radon to a safer level.
